Paramedics Gerry Moreau and George Gibbons were instrumental in helping to save the life of a runner at the Rock n Roll Mardi Gras Marathon in New Orleans.
ATCEMS paramedics Gerry Moreau and George Gibbons are pretty low-key individuals. They come to work, they do their job very well. In their spare time they have a common interest in running .... and, of course hockey.
The best guess is that neither Gerry nor George would have suspected they would be instrumental in saving a man's life on Sunday when they competed in the 2nd Annual Rock n Roll Mardi Gras Marathon in New Orleans. After all, this was George's first marathon, so he had other things to consider, like making sure he had enough steam to make it through the entire 26.2 miles. Gerry on the other hand, had successfully completed nine marathons. His thoughts were focused on his next marathon conquest since his goal is to run a marathon in every state – nine down and only 41 marathons to go!
