Michael McDonald
Michael McDonald was appointed Assistant City Manager for Public Safety Services in 2006 and to Deputy City Manager in January 2012. As Deputy City Manager, McDonald oversees Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services as well as the Code Compliance Department, Community Court and the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Rudy Garza
Rudy Garza was appointed Assistant City Manager for Capital Improvement Projects in 2006. Since January 2012, Garza oversees the Financial and Administrative Services group that includes the Austin Convention Center, Communications and Technology Management, Contract Management and Human Resources departments and the Labor Relations Office.

Robert Goode
Robert Goode was appointed Assistant City Manager for Transportation Services in March 2008. Since January 2012, Goode oversees the Infrastructure Services group that includes Austin Resource Recovery; Austin Water Utility; the Capital Planning Office; and the Public Works and Transportation departments.

Sue Edwards
Sue Edwards was appointed Assistant City Manger for Development/Environment Services in July 2008. Since January 2012, Edwards oversees the Development Services group that includes Aviation, the Economic Growth and Redevelopment Office, the Office of Real Estate Services, the Planning and Development Review Department, the Sustainability Office and Watershed Protection/Development.

Bert Lumbreras
Bert Lumbreras was appointed Assistant City Manager for Community Services in August 2006. As of January 2012, this group includes the Animal Services Office; the Health and Human Services Department/Office of the Medical Examiner; Austin Public Library; the Neighborhood Housing and Community Development Office; and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Anthony Snipes
Anthony J. Snipes was appointed Chief of Staff in June 2008. Since January 2012, Snipes oversees the staff of the City Manager's Office, Building Services, the Communications and Public Information Office, Fleet Services, Government Relations, the Small and Minority Business Resources Department and Telecommunications and Regulatory Affairs.
